This trip is being arranged with the help of Dharma Adventures, a reputable and well-established travel company in Kathmandu. We will have professional and experienced guides, drivers and support staff travelling with us at all times.
The 2009 price for this trip was £2200 per person, on the basis of sharing twin bedded rooms. It is expected that the 2010 price will be similar but it will be confirmed a little nearer the time. Single rooms may be available, in which case a single supplement will apply.
It is possible to arrange an instalment payment plan for this trip. Please contact us for further details if you would like to do this.
Price includes:
- 4 nights accommodation at Hotel Padma, Boudha on bed and breakfast basis.
- Meet and assistance at the airport by our representative.
- Necessary arrival and departure transfers.
- All sightseeing tours in Kathmandu will be provided as per the programme with English-speaking local guide.
- Transfer in Kathmandu for Kathmandu - Lhasa flight.
- Surface transfer for the sector Kodari - Kathmandu.
- Entrance fees as indicated in the programme.
Tibet portion...
- 4 nights accommodation at Hotel Kyichu, Lhasa on bed and breakfast basis.
- 1 night accommodation at Hotel Manasarovar, Shigatse on bed and breakfast basis.
- All the necessary transfers and sightseeing tours in Lhasa will be provided as per the programme with local English-speaking Tibetan guide. Please note that for Day 7 it is anticipated that the group may prefer to spend the day visiting the Barkhor Market or making other preparations for the kora rather than going on another monastery visit. However, it can be arranged for the group to visit Ganden Monastery if wished, but there will be an extra charge for this.
- Transportation by 4WD Land Cruiser (Toyota 4500, the best available in Tibet) with support mini-truck and crew member during kora on Days 14 and 15.
- Hotels/local lodges en-route on full board basis with English-speaking Tibetan guide.
- Required yak and yak drivers during kora.
- Staff and equipment transportation.
- Tibet Permit.
- Airport transfers.
- PAC bag (Portable Altitude Chamber) and first aid medical kit.

Nepal entry visa fee; Chinese visa fee (US$ 175 nett per person for US nationals and US$55 nett per person for other nationals - quoted separately); international airfare; airfare Kathmandu - Lhasa (quoted separately); airport tax; sleeping bag (can be hired in Kathmandu at US$3.50 person per day); lunch and dinner in Kathmandu and Tibet during hotel stays; extra monastery visit to Ganden on Day 7; refreshments, bottled drinks, tips; insurance and rescue; expenses arising from any flight cancellation, road blockades, landslides and reasons beyond our control; photography charges; expenses of a personal nature; any other items not mentioned above.
